Lead Certified Contractor:  Do you know about the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) mandated job site procedures for any house where lead paint is present and may be exposed during the course of any home improvement activity?

It is a lot to swallow, but long story short: If your house was built before 1978 there is a possibility lead paint could have been used at one point.  It is required that contractors working on houses where lead paint is present and lead dust or particles can be exposed, that the company has the Lead Certification.  By law only contractors certified by the EPA can perform work on houses where lead dust or particles will be exposed.  There are stringent procedures and specialized equipment necessary to perform these projects properly to eliminate the exposure of poisonous lead dust to employees and home owners.  Contractors are subject to a $37,500.00 fine for any violation if the EPA inspects the specific project.

Colorful Remedies is a Lead Certified Contractor and we are ready and willing to consult with you about the possibility of lead in your home and the proper way to set up and operate a lead remediation project.  Please contact us with any questions you may have, we would be glad to help.
